Term calculator for notice under article 8
With the date the message was sent and the length of the term stated in the court order, the calculator estimates three dates on the Colombian court calendar.
Estimated dates, not guaranteed: the judge decides the computation. The calculator uses the national calendar and does not know each court's extraordinary closures; some courts count from the acknowledgement of receipt. Check before acting.
Judicial recess counts neither toward notice being complete nor toward the term. This choice is pending review by a lawyer.
How it is calculated
Notice is deemed complete two business days after sending, and the term runs from the next business day (Ley 2213 of 2022, art. 8 para. 3, as the Supreme Court applies it in STC8435-2023). Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays (Ley 51 of 1983), Holy Week and the collective recess are excluded (CGP art. 118). It is the same rule Notificado uses for the deadlines of every notification in the dashboard.
