Getting started

Install the app and use it offline

Install Notificado on your computer or phone, use its shortcuts, search the documentation and know what works offline.

Notificado runs in the browser and can also be installed as an app: it opens in its own window, has its icon on your desktop or home screen, and offers shortcuts to the dashboard, a new notice and proof verification. There is nothing to download from a store, and it always opens the current version.

Install on a computer or on Android

In Chrome or Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android):

  1. Sign in and open the dashboard.
  2. Press the Preferences gear in the top bar.
  3. Press Install Notificado and confirm in the browser's window.

The option only appears when the browser offers it. If you do not see it, use the browser's menu ("Install Notificado…" or "Add to Home screen"), or it may already be installed.

Install on iPhone or iPad

Safari has no install button. Instead:

  1. Open the dashboard in Safari.
  2. Tap Share (the square with the arrow pointing up).
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen and confirm.

The Preferences gear reminds you of these steps when you open the dashboard on an iPhone or iPad.

Shortcuts

With the app installed, press and hold its icon (or right-click it on the desktop) to go straight to:

  • Dashboard: your cases and notices.
  • New notice: the list of cases, to pick the case and press Notify. Every notice is sent from its case.
  • Verify a proof: the verification page, which needs no account.

What works offline

Sending a notice Needs a connection: the evidence is sealed on the server at the moment of sending.

Updates

There is nothing to reinstall. When we publish a new version, the app picks it up on the next page you open with a connection. If you leave the window open for days, the app checks for a new version when you come back to it.

Search the documentation

The search box sits at the top of the documentation's navigation:

  • Press / or Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) from any documentation page to jump to the box.
  • Type one or more words; accents do not matter. Results link to the guide or the exact section, and also find API operations by name, such as sendNotification.
  • Use ↓ and ↑ to move between results, Enter to open the first one and Esc to clear.

The index is downloaded the first time you use the box; offline, the search uses the copy the device saved last time. If your browser does not run JavaScript, the box does not appear: use the navigation or the All pages page, which lists every guide with its sections.
