Send an art. 8 notification

How to prepare and send the personal notification of article 8 of Ley 2213 of 2022, with the sworn statement and attachments.

Article 8 of Ley 2213 of 2022 allows personal notification by data message. Notificado builds that message, freezes it before sending and records its delivery. This guide follows a case's Notify wizard.

Before you start

  • Your lawyer verification is approved (Account → Verification).
  • The case exists under Cases, with its 23-digit radicado.
  • Your documents are PDF, PNG or JPEG, and 20 MB in total at most.
  • You have at least one credit per recipient (see Limits).

1. The providencia

State which providencia you are notifying (for example, auto admisorio de la demanda) and its date. You can add the term in business days and a message of your own of up to 5,000 characters. The message text comes from the art. 8 template; you see it in full before sending.

2. The documents

Upload the auto admisorio, the demanda, the anexos or the subsanación. Each file goes straight to storage and, when you confirm it, we compute its SHA-256 over the bytes that were stored. That hash is the one on the constancia.

3. Recipients and the sworn statement

For each recipient enter their name and email, and state how you obtained the address: previous communications, Cámara de Comercio, RUT, a contract, an official website or another source. Upload the proof of that source and make the sworn statement (juramento) article 8 requires.

4. Review and send

The preview shows the exact message, the attachments and the recipients. When you send:

  1. One credit per recipient is consumed.
  2. The message (.eml) and each attachment are frozen, hashed and timestamped by at least two independent RFC 3161 authorities.
  3. The message leaves DKIM-signed from our domain.

Once frozen, the notification cannot be edited or re-sent: what was sent is, byte for byte, what was sealed.

If an assistant prepared it

When an agent connected through MCP requests the send, the notification does not go out: it waits 24 hours for your confirmation in the panel. You review the recipients and attachments and confirm; only then are the credits consumed and the message frozen.

After sending

Follow delivery under Notifications and read States and evidence. The judge of the case decides whether the notification is valid and how terms are computed.
